I”m also having the same problem and my driver version is 6.13.01.3460 which is the latest by intel for 82845GL/GV adapter.I came across this error when i play high resolution videos specialy when half hd and full hd videos.unticking hardware acceleration helped me but now my videos flickers and does not play continuously any idea how to resolve this EDDIE

i’ve experienced the same problem, mostly when i want to open MKV file…i’ve done googling…and found some answers…
1)install mkv codec – failed
2)Turn off hardware acceleration just like here http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/articles/dmc_turnoffhardwareacceleration.aspx – failed

im still cannot watch mkv files……guess i need to change my comp…sighhh~~~

I used the intel link above. It said I had a custom driver, so I clicked on the link they have for different systems (mine is Dell). It took me to Dell, and I was able to update my drivers from there. I clicked on the question box near the download button which told me what order to do the updates in. I did all of the recommended updates, but did not update things such as my mouse and keyboard or the bluetooth. It did install a new program to view videos and got rid of the old one.

I had to download the generic graphics driver from the intel website but it worked like a charm. Thanks!

Just had this error after doing windows updates which installed a new driver from Microsoft.

I had to reboot into safe mode then went to device manager in system properties from control panel, selected my video card under display adapters, right clicked on it, went to properties, selected the drivers tab abd hit rollback driver to go back to the working driver.

Just remember not to install the Microsoft driver when you do updates next time.

None of this worked for me, I have a Dell Inspiron 1300.. I’ve gone to the website and updated, I’ve crashed my computer… I play World of Warcraft and I just don’t know what to do or how to fix it… If someone could PLEASE give me some DETAILED instructions… I’d appreciate it…. Please help me!! My computer Will load everything and the game, but if too many graphics go on then it freezes and the error comes up… I’ve replaced the ram so I know it’s not that….
