I’m slowing working through my double-edge blade sampler pack and recently tried the Lord Platinum class blade. 

I rather liked the Lord Platinums – I had about week’s worth of growth on my face and was happy to find that I got a decent shave with only 2 passes.

I was a bit surprised to find this review that rates the blade as mediocre, because that wasn’t my experience at all.  Two commenters on that review also take issue with the “mediocre” rating, stating that, like me, their experience has been quite positive.

I’m not a shaving aficionado by any means, but in my now couple month-long journey into traditional wet shaving, I’d put the Lord Platinum as my second favorite blade, with the first still being Gillette Platinums.  As the other reviewer pointed out, the Lord blade is very forgiving (didn’t cut myself once), but I didn’t find it dull at all.
