i’ve been getting these calls almost every other day for the past few weeks. i’ve just emailed the dove foundation asking them to remove me from their call list and let them know that if i receive another phonecall, i will file official complaints with the Attorney General, FCC, Do Not Call Registry, and in Canada, the CRTC and Phonebusters. (thanks to the folks who posted this info previously! i’ve copied the info below.)

i urge everyone to contact the company and do the same. each of our actions will add up and make a difference. please take a moment to do this! thanks!

I am curious if this might apply here:

Although callers soliciting charitable contributions do not have to search the national registry, a for-profit telemarketer calling on behalf of a charitable organization must honor your request not to receive calls on behalf of that charity.

I also received a “survey” phone call from these people. When I did not provide the answers she was looking for, she said I did not qualify for their survey and let me go.

Called them back, and actually got human on the phone, Kami, apparently. She said I had twenty seconds to inquire about DOVE. I exclaimed that SHE called ME in the middle of an important business call, and to remove me from their list.
They agreed to put me on their “no call” list, And I have not heard back from them since. This was like, two weeks ago.
Here’s the thing a friend advised me on: The reason I only had twenty seconds, is because it’s not a legit charity, otherwise they would qualify for gratis 800 statis, and would not care how long they spoke on the phone!

Gotcha, DOVE, you poser “christian” assholes!
