I’m so glad to hear several other people are having the same issues as myself. I am currently about to bitch out the next person that calls me. They have called me four times in the past half hour. I have previously demanded they take my number off their list. It has happened but only for 3 months at a time and then they start hounding me again. Is it at all possible to get your number permanently removed? I feel like this is on the border of harassment already!!! I’m done donating to the Red Cross. FYI – I also live in Maryland.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that cannot get them to stop calling me. I donated once and had a horrible experience – the technician spoke very little English and butchered my arm resulting in a large hematoma. I have tried everything to get them to stop calling. I have explained to them what happened and why I don’t want to donate again, I’ve lied and said I just got a tattoo, I’ve lied and said I was sick – nothing works. Once, I got a sympathetic person calling that explained to me that they don’t have access to remove us from the list. He said the best he could do was to put me on the “call in 6 weeks” list. I’ve asked to talk to supervisors – it doesn’t work. No matter what, 4-6 weeks later, they start calling me again. I just started getting the calls again today. This time I’m going to answer the phone and tell them that they’ve got the wrong number. We’ll see if that works.

I keep getting the calls too, they called me three times yesterday. This is after I asked them to take me off their calling list one week ago. I once again asked last night and the nice lady on the phone said it was impossible to do that. Nice work, ARC! Harassing your donators (and yes, calling multiple times per day is harassment) is a guarantee I will never give you my blood again.

Thanks Amazon!!! I bought my wife a Kindle and had to send it back due to black lines accross the screen. We were given a replacement and guess what? 1 year and 3 weeks after getting the replacement……the same fault. I called Amazon and explained that this is a genuine fault (not damage) but because it’s 1 year and 3 WEEKS since we got our replacement, Amazon want £40 plus shipping. I know it’s only £40 but this is a matter of principle, I gave them £149 for a Kindle and it has lasted just over 1 year and was a faulty item. I can buy a touch pad PC or I-pad and get the books elsewhere and that’s what I’d advise anyone else to do. Dont give Amazon any more cash, they need to learn that they cant push long standing customers around any longer.

Where are you buying the Starbucks discs? I don’t see them for sale in Canada. I know that the Keurig machine has a much wider choice of discs. I don’t really like my Tassimo since I never seem to get a large mug of coffee. I am not into drinking from dainty little cups – I want a full mug. Any solution to the quantity issue?

I called about this same issue and I am just over a month out of warranty. It will cost me $85 for a replacement Kindle. I have kept my kindle in its case except when being read and I have been extremely careful with it. One drop and now it is done.
