Subway Nutrition Calculator
Select each ingredient on your sub from the drop-downs. You can choose as many ingredients from each list as you want. As you add ingredients, they will be added to the Nutrition Facts table. You can delete ingredients after they are added by checking the “x” next to the ingredient name in the Nutrition Facts table.

I love eating at Subway.
But Subway makes it hard to discover the nutritional values of a particular sub.
This is because on their nutritional sheet, they list the calories, carbs, fat, etc., for a particular sub based on a certain set of pre-defined ingredients. For example, they only list the nutritional contents for a sub on their 9-grain wheat bread. Which is great, if you always order 9-grain wheat bread. But I don’t.
So I created this calculator that lets you determine the nutritional content of any sub.

This is awesome, thanks!
April 22nd, 2010 at 8:46 pm
This is great! Any chance you could add the info from their breakfast items?
May 10th, 2010 at 12:08 pm
hey man, love the subway calorie counter. Just need to add a handful of ingredients; Salt and Pepper, Spinach leaves. that’s all that’s missing from my sandwich ingredients. and if there was an easy Facebook profile link, as in to post the bare calculator on my facebook to share with everyone, that would be great
June 9th, 2010 at 11:33 am
Wish I had this as a phone app. Would love to talk myself into (or out of) a meal on the fly.
July 7th, 2010 at 5:10 pm
This tool ROCKS. I used it today, and it was AWESOME! :D Thank you!
July 9th, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Nice calculator,
I was at odds trying to find a calculator for their nutrition on their website but to no avail, my searches mearly ended in dismay. Thank goodness google was able to let me find your calculator.
I think it is an interesting design for a calculator with the nutritional information bar and the listed ingredients as the selections from your meal. (but hey, where’s the drinks at?)
Otherwise, its a really slick calculator. And damn, I can’t believe that I ate 3210 calories in one sitting :S I will be full for a bit.
July 12th, 2010 at 7:49 am
This is awesome. Is there a way to add spinach to the list?
July 22nd, 2010 at 8:34 pm
Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I count my calories and trying to determine calories off of their website is challenging. Thank you!!!!!
July 24th, 2010 at 3:06 am
So… trying to be good with sodium… 12″ white bread, chicken breast, shredded Monterey, just the fresh veggies, oil/vinegar… still getting 50% daily sodium.
However… that’s about 1/4 of what I often get with my normal sub… and I had no real idea until this calculator.
Thanks!!!
August 3rd, 2010 at 8:58 pm
hey this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks so much.i didnt realize how many calories a cold-cut combo added up to wow!
August 5th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Thanks for creating this. I too have tried to use the Subway site for nutrition info and it’s very limited. Great tool!
August 6th, 2010 at 4:03 pm
I took the HTML and CSS for this calculator and I’m building an enhanced version of this in AJAX. I will include all ingredients from their official list:
http://www.subway.com/applications/NutritionInfo/nutritionlist.aspx?id=breadtop
August 11th, 2010 at 1:30 pm
Thanks, this is great. I like it hot so order a sub that’s like half jalapenos – the sodium skyrockets with all the jalapenos. I will just have to eat green peppers.
August 12th, 2010 at 11:49 am
Some of the subs include cheese in the amount like the spicy italian. That should be subtracted from the base sandwich amount.
August 12th, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Wow, awesome website, thanks a lot!
August 18th, 2010 at 4:09 pm
How do you know all of this information? Is it truely reliable? I watch my sodium for health reasons and get a little nervous about believing any nutritional info that doesn’t come from the companies themselves, but subway.com sucks. Are you for sure this information is 100% true?
August 20th, 2010 at 11:49 am
holy heck! I thought that by eating subway I would be eating healthier. Instead I grabbed more calories and fat than I would if I had eaten a big mac at mcd’s. ouch. Nice calculator, btw.

@rebecca I was thinking the same thing also and then I noticed when I was changing bread the calories just kept going up. So everytime you change something you have to go to the bottom of the nutrition list and click the ‘x’ to get rid of it so it doesn’t screw up the calories
September 1st, 2010 at 2:34 pm
Jarrod got skinny at subway? yeah right! My sandwich is 1450 calories. If I ate that every day I’d get fat!
September 19th, 2010 at 3:15 pm
You need to add Spinach and avacado to the list. :) Thanks
September 19th, 2010 at 4:20 pm
great! and scary how many calories is in a footlong. only thing is you need to add salt and pepper (some people watch sodium), spinach, and avocado to the calculator!
September 20th, 2010 at 10:50 am
This is wonderful. All the other restaurants you have too. Thanks for all the work you put in and sharing this.
October 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 pm
I can’t het the dropdowns to allow me to select anything other than the first choice.
October 14th, 2010 at 11:28 pm
Thanks so much for creating this calculator; I’m so glad I found it. As you noted, the Subway official website does not do a good job of listing the nutritional value of its items. This is AWESOME!
October 23rd, 2010 at 10:20 pm
No spinach? I get spinach on all of my subs. This is a great idea, but I can’t get an accurate calculation without spinach.
November 1st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
The carb values seem way too high. I am a diabetic putting your carb value into my insulin pump will always cause me to have a low blood sugar reaction.
November 1st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
Don’t blame the calculator, Robert, blame Subway. Here is their official nutrition chart. As far as I can see, my carb values are accurate.
November 1st, 2010 at 5:56 pm
Eddie… they might agree with the data that you got from Subway, but the carb values are not accurate for me. It’s a great tool though, but not for diabetics.

December 8th, 2010 at 9:18 pm
Wow. Brilliant, Eddie, thanks for the work you put into this. I admit, it took me a little while to convince myself that the figures were right, but I have to hand it to you: this is an incredibly eye-opening calculator.
December 9th, 2010 at 6:14 am
This is an amazing website you have created. I totally agree that for a restaurant that markets themselves as a fresh and healthy fast food alternative, Subway definitely makes their nutrition info hard to add up (unless you order the sandwich to their exact posted specs). This eliminates the confusion completely. The only thing missing here from my sandwich order is the baby spinach leaves. Any chance on getting that ingredient added? I know it is very low calorie but does it add fiber? Regardless of that being added or not, great work on the site Eddie!
December 13th, 2010 at 5:03 pm
I can’t find any nutrition value for a regular steak sub. Can you help? Thanks
December 13th, 2010 at 5:06 pm
I also don’t see any values for a club sub.
December 28th, 2010 at 1:37 pm
thank you so much!!!!!! i love the subway calculator! I could never come up with a calorie count because they were so vague in their listings. Thank you!!!!
December 30th, 2010 at 3:36 pm
Thanks for this helpful calculator.
January 2nd, 2011 at 8:24 pm
Thanks so much for this calculator.
January 4th, 2011 at 2:02 pm
Wow what a great tool to use. The only thing is I usually order a mini and there are only two choices for sandwich size.

February 1st, 2011 at 11:09 pm
you need to add italian dressing on to the list. otherwise great!
February 16th, 2011 at 4:11 pm
Holy sodium, I thought I was being healthy! Also, adding peperoni would be awesome :)
February 16th, 2011 at 5:12 pm
Where’s the spinach?
February 20th, 2011 at 10:02 pm
I’m a bit scared for the people who have over 2000 cals in a sub….make sure your not adding things in twice or by mistake!
My sub is only around 500, which makes me pretty happy :)
Can you please add BBQ sauce (regular and Bullseye) to the listing?
March 8th, 2011 at 7:15 pm
One thing that’s missing is Avocado
March 12th, 2011 at 12:28 am
This is incredible! You should make an iPhone app. I’d pay for it and who knows, subway will probably come knocking at your door and buy you out…
March 22nd, 2011 at 1:00 pm
Great tool, thank you! Only things I noticed missing are spinach and ranch dressing. For a ballpark estimate, they can be substituted with lettuce and mayo anyways so no biggie. I wish Subway actually made it this open and easy to do!
March 22nd, 2011 at 8:59 pm
I am so pleased! I was manually adding everything up myself and, sheesh was that a tedious job! I am donating a pittance to help you continue your great work. I am also posting your link in as many places as I can to bring traffic for you.
I get spinach on my sandwich, too, but I know the value of a 1/4 cup of fresh spinach, so it is not a problem.
I am extremely disappointed to learn that the flat bread and the wrap, both of which give the illusion of being lower calories than the other breads, are higher in all the bad stuff: sodium, calories & fat. That is patently unfair and I intend to complain to… my congress person or… somebody! It is a SRS problem!
Thanks again for the great tool. You rock!
March 30th, 2011 at 4:07 pm
Omg……….. I just had a sub today…… Sodium 3790mg 157% | Calories 1720 Cal from Fat 990 | LMAO! I’m done with subway
April 4th, 2011 at 12:09 pm
may also want to add stake & cheese since its a tad healthier than the big Philly chessesteak.
the difference is minor but makes a difference
April 5th, 2011 at 10:49 am
i did my sub and got over 12000 calories :)
April 13th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
I am puzzled, I was at subway this afternoon for lunch and they list the Chicken Teriyaki sub at 200 calories – that is without cheese. I get lettuce – tomato and onion with the fat free dressing with the honey oat bread. The calulator has this as 460 calories, I was counting on Subway to be honest, what do you think?
April 13th, 2011 at 12:59 pm
Chris, the bread alone has 200 calories. Maybe what you saw was a listing for a Wrap?
April 18th, 2011 at 10:54 am
Terrific app, Needs breakfast items.
April 19th, 2011 at 6:23 pm
sodium is really high..
April 21st, 2011 at 12:24 pm
((Hug))
April 22nd, 2011 at 4:44 pm
Thanks this is great!! The only thing I wish was on here was avocado because I often get avocado on my turkey sandwich. But I went to their website and did the math to add to my calorie count. btw if anyones wondering its 70 Cal.
Also you didn’t have their Orchard Chicken Salad on here either.
Thanks :)
April 28th, 2011 at 10:24 am
Today is the first time I have seen your website! It is awesome! I agree with the above comments…add baby spinach, salt/pepper and pickled peppers (I think the peppers you add are regular fresh peppers) and make this into an APP, preferably Android!
Thank you! This is awesome…I may never get to work!
May 15th, 2011 at 7:03 pm
You need an option for double meat, double cheese, and the ability to add more than one vegetable.
May 24th, 2011 at 10:43 am
love this calculator. use it nearly every week. but it needs updated. i like to get the 3 inch flat bread, which is not an option on this calculator. Also, i do breakfast – and i can’t find egg or egg white anywhere.
But great dieting tool!
May 26th, 2011 at 8:02 pm
yo add the marinara sauce please =] thanks!
June 10th, 2011 at 6:48 pm
If you click on a particular item twice, you can double the portions. For example, look carefully at the numbers when you click on the item more than once. They will change automatically. I love this calorie counter!
June 24th, 2011 at 1:11 pm
Does the nutritional info calculate in the fact that the tuna is already pre-made with mayo in it, or should I add the mayo in separately as a condiment to get the correct nutritional info?
June 26th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
What a great tool! Let me know if you run for office.

This is so awesome but is there any chance you can add the info for their breakfast subs as well?
July 16th, 2011 at 5:46 pm
I don’t think the information for the veggie patty is correct. I’ve read that there are 930 mg of sodium per patty; however, this says only 290 mg. I’d love for it to only have 290 mg, but I don’t think so.
July 16th, 2011 at 9:51 pm
olives, pickles and lettuce add zero to everything even calories? ummm…I don’t think so.
July 25th, 2011 at 12:36 pm

I don’t like how they don’t tell you the ingrediants. I will never never eat at a Subway Shop again. I can’t believe how bad the whole package is.
August 20th, 2011 at 9:18 am
Thanks for making this calculator. My sub today was 650 calories and I can fit that right into my diet plan :)
