Welcome to my website!

You’re probably wondering, “Who is this Eddie guy, and what makes him such an expert?” First things first, I don’t fancy myself an expert on most of the things I write about - I’m just your standard 30-something bored male professional who spends way too much time at his computer.

Yes, I have friends. Yes, I have a “real life.”

It’s just that in my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and researching. As a result, I spend a lot of time at my computer, looking things up, learning about new topics, making notes, and just generally tinkering about.

When I say that “I like researching,” that’s something of an understatement - I have a habit of researching topics to death. As an example, a friend recently asked me for advice on repairing her less-than-stellar credit. Now, I do know a little about credit, so this wasn’t out of left field. I told her what I knew, and it seemed helpful to her. That probably would have been the end of it, but-for my research hobby — I wanted to learn more. Hey, what can I say, I like learning. This led me on a 10 hour marathon session of credit research, culminating in a long email to her condensing everything that I’d learned.

Maniacal? Maybe. Obsessed? Perhaps. But it’s the research that I’m crazy about.

Since I also enjoy writing, I thought that I’d start this website to document some of my research trails. Not only will this be a valuable resource to me in the future, but I hope that it can help someone else out as well. If nothing else, the next time someone asks me how to do something, I will be able to say “Check out this URL.”

I’m also something of a stats junkie. I love looking at charts, at numbers, and at graphs. I’ll admit it, I love statistics. For that reason, I’ll also be using this site to compile lists of statistics on topics that interest me.
